US Air grounds flights at PHL for security breach

PHILADELPHIA INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT - June 12, 2012

It was around 12:30 p.m. when an alarmed sounded for a suspicious bag.

Officials say it's not unusual for the bag alarm to go off.

However, officials on the ground lost track of several bags that were screened and needed to rescreen a number of outgoing flights.

US Air self-grounded about 10 flights which caused some delays.

Canines were called to the scene to rescreen numerous bags.

US Air returned to normal service by 3:50 p.m.

The issues involving the bag remain unresolved.

Numerous flights underwent secondary screenings which caused a slight delay at the airport.
