Suspect nabbed in SW Phila. home invasion killing

SOUTHWEST PHILADELPHIA - June 28, 2012

Sean Johnson, 18, was apprehended in Virginia by the U.S. Marshals, Philadelphia Police announced on Thursday.

The victim of that home invasion, 80-year-old Joseph Fleming, died of his injuries on Friday. Johnson is now awaiting extradition back to Philadelphia to face murder charges.

A second suspect, Aaron Pitts, turned himself in to homicide detectives on the same day the Fleming died.

Fleming was shot in his home in the 2100 block of South 67th Street back on May 17th.

The shooting happened on May 17th. Police said Fleming heard a noise in his basement, went to investigate and was shot in the stomach and leg.
