Philadelphia police have released a sketch of a man they say attempted to lure a child in the city's Olney section. It happened Monday morning outside Lowell Elementary School in the 400 block of Nedro Avenue.

Police said the man attempted to get a 9-year-old girl in his car by offering her candy.

Another student saw what was going on and called out to the girl. She walked away immediately.

The man is described as an African-American in his late 20's to early 30's, with light skin, heavy set and a beard.

He was wearing a white tank top and a black Yankees hat with the "NY" emblem.

His car was described as an older four-door model, purple in color and tinted windows.
