Clinton to visit New Jersey

TRENTON, N.J. (AP) - January 16, 2008

Bergen County party leader Joseph Ferriero will endorse the Democratic presidential front-runner.

Clinton campaign spokesman Brendan Gilfillan confirmed that the candidate will appear in the Garden State on Jan. 23.

Clinton campaign fundraiser Alfred DeCotiis says the New York senator's visit will include a fundraiser at the Stony Hill Inn in Hackensack.

Former President Bill Clinton is also expected in New Jersey before the Feb. 5 primary.

Clinton retains her lead among Democratic voters in New Jersey, although a Monmouth University/Gannett New Jersey poll this week has Illinois Sen. Barack Obama gaining ground.
