Seaford apartment fire under investigation

SEAFORD, Del. (AP) - February 24, 2008 The fire broke out at about 3:30 a.m. in an unoccupied apartment in the 500 block of North Pine Street.

Officials say a resident of another apartment smelled smoke and called for help.

The Seaford Fire Department responded and found heavy smoke and fire coming from the empty unit.

Other residents were evacuated and no one was hurt.
