Obama, McCain spar over housing crisis

GREENSBORO, N.C. - March 26, 2008 - He's responding to new criticism from Barack Obama, who says McCain is taking a "sit-back-and-watch" approach to the economic troubles gripping the nation.

Obama says McCain, in an economic speech yesterday, didn't offer "one bit of relief" to Americans who are facing foreclosure on their homes.

McCain responds that the government may have to do more to help homeowners -- but that he won't support a "massive bailout" that McCain says would be a "needless expenditure of taxpayer dollars."
