Farmers plan protest at state capital

TRENTON, N.J. (AP) - April 1, 2008

So, they're planning a protest today that could make the state capital look a bit more like the state fair.

Farmers and their supporters promise to parade tractors and farm animals through the city streets of Trenton to protest plans to eliminate the state Agriculture Department.

It's part of Governor Corzine's plan to cut 2.7 billion dollars in state spending.
