Making a big deal of a five buck fine

One Southern California prosecutor is making a big deal of a five buck fine.

Riverside County's chief prosecutor has filed a 47-page appeal, after one of his deputies was docked $5 for being late to court.

The appeal argues the judge violated rules governing contempt of court by imposing a fine without a written explanation.

The tardy prosecutor had already apologized to the judge for being late.
