NJ State Trooper hurt in crash

WOOLWICH TWP., NJ - May 10, 2008

The crash happened in the northbound lanes of the New Jersey Turnpike late Friday night.

The Trooper's cruiser collided with a tractor trailer in Woolwich Township, Gloucester County. The impact sent the Trooper's car off the car into trees.

The cruiser caught on fire. Luckily, the Trooper was able to escape the wreckage alive.

He suffered a broken arm. Medics transported him to Underwood Hospital in Woodbury. The tractor trailer driver did not seek treatment.
