Three superdelegates from Delaware, including one who previously supported Hillary Clinton, have endorsed Barack Obama for the Democratic Party's presidential nomination.

State Democratic Party chairman John Daniello, national committeeman Rhett Ruggerio and secretary of state Harriet Windsor announced Tuesday that they will vote for Obama at the Democratic National Convention in Denver.

Ruggerio previously had supported Clinton, while Daniello and Windsor had remained uncommitted, at least publicly.

Ruggerio said he believes Clinton would make as good a president as Obama would, but that it's important for the party to unite behind the nominee and begin to focus on the November general election.
