Phila. parks to get $1M in improvements

The state is providing $1 million for improvements to five Philadelphia neighborhood parks and one city recreation center. The improvments are planned for Muhammad Park in West Philadelphia, Cliveden Park in East Mount Airy, Clark Park in University City, Pulaski Park in Port Richmond, Fairhill Square in North Philadelphia and the Rivera Recreation Center in North Philadelphia.

Funding for the grant comes from the Keystone Fund. That's a Department of Conservation and Natural Resources account generated from a portion of the realty transfer tax.
