Pennsylvania State police say a truck hit a van that was broken down and partially on I-95 Monday morning, killing van's driver as he looked under the hood of his vehicle.

The accident happened just before 9:30 a.m. on I-95 southbound, just north of the Girard Avenue exit. The van was pulled onto the shoulder along the west side of the highway and was partially in the lane for the Girard Avenue exit.

A box truck hit the van, killing the van's driver who was working on the van at the time. The victim died at the scene. The truck driver suffered minor injuries.
