The rollover occurred because no player matched all the winning numbers from Tuesday night's $31 million drawing.
The next Mega Millions drawing will be Friday night.
Although there was no grand prize winner, three players won second prizes of $250,000 apiece. Another 22 players won third prizes of $10,000 apiece.
The winning numbers from Tuesday night's drawing were: 10, 21, 23, 41 and 55. The Mega Ball number was 9.
The multi-state Mega Millions lottery is played in New Jersey and 11 other states.
