Former treasurer pleads guilty

THORNBURY TOWNSHIP, Pa. - November 17, 2008 In return for her plea, Perry was sentenced to three to six years in state prison and ordered to pay $303,000.

Back in early September, Perry was charged with stealing money from Thornbury Township.

Delaware County District Attorney Mike Green said she walked off with about $250,000.

Perry turned herself into police on September 3rd.

Police say she stole the money little by little, small accounts on expense reports, and charges to various stores, gas stations.

The scheme only came to light last Christmas day. Sources say that's when Perry had a falling out with her boyfriend, Jim Hance. It was Hance who called the township solicitor to say he and Perry had been charging up a storm on township credit cards.

Hance is also facing charges.
