Police: Intoxicated woman struck and killed by car

NEWARK, Del. (AP) - December 17, 2008 Police say Ashley Vadala was under the influence of alcohol and drugs when she walked into the path of the car just west of Brewster Drive on Monday. She died Tuesday morning at Christiana Hospital.

The car was being driven by a 56-year-old Newark woman, who wasn't injured.
