No word yet on what caused a deadly accident in Somerset County this weekend.

Authorities say 44-year-old Daniel Wazsylak of Hillsborough was killed Saturday night after he was involved in two head-on collisions - including one with a police car.

Bridgewater Township police say Wazsylak's vehicle crossed from the southbound to the northbound lane of Finderne Avenue around 10:30 p.m.

It then collided head-on with a marked Bridgewater police patrol car driven by 33-year-old officer Jason Albanese.

The impact threw Wazsylak's vehicle back into the southbound lanes, facing the wrong direction, where it collided head-on with a car driven by 77-year-old Anthony Mondrone of Manville.

Mondrone and Albanese sustained injuries that aren't considered life-threatening.
