2 alarms struck in Burlington City fire

BURLINGTON CITY, N.J. - January 25, 2009 The fire broke out around 1:45 a.m. in a 3-story duplex located at 208 west Federal Street in Burlington City.

The fire quickly spread to the adjoining home of the duplex.

Shortly after 2:00 the third floor of the home collapsed onto the second floor and firefighters called in a second alarm and ordered all firefighters out of the house.

The fire was placed under control at 4:30 a.m.

Red Cross officials were called to help find housing for the 3 people and one dog who were displaced.
