PATCO freedom to save

January 26, 2009

The program offers retailers, restaurants, service providers and other companies a unique opportunity to reach new customers. Program participants offer discounts or other perks to users of the transit agency's FREEDOM Card. In exchange, PATCO will promote the participating companies and their offers through its Web site, media outreach and in-station promotions.

More than 100 businesses throughout South Jersey and Center City Philadelphia have already signed on to the program to offer savings to PATCO riders.

Delaware River Port Authority Vice Chairman, Jeff Nash, says "We are constantly looking for ways to improve PATCO service and provide a real benefit to our riders and the community. This is just one of the many new services we plan to provide to the region in 2009."

The FREEDOM card can be purchased at the automated machines located at each of the 13 PATCO stations along the 14.2 mile line through South Jersey and Philadelphia.
