Man critical after being struck by car

Delaware State Police are investigating an auto pedestrian accident early this morning on Route 40 in Bear, Delaware. Police tell Action News that the victim, a man in his 30's, was crossing Route 40 in the eastbound lane around 6:00 when he was struck by a vehicle.

Medics rushed the man to Christiana Hospital where he is listed in critical condition.

Route 40 eastbound was shutdown near School Bell Road while troopers investigated.
