Dozen injured in SEPTA crash

WEST OAK LANE - February 19, 2009

It happened about 5:15 A.M. near the corner of North 15th Street and West Cheltenham Avenue in the West Oak Lane section of Philadelphia.

Rescue workers had to cut open the SUV to free the 61-year-old driver who was trapped.

He was taken to Einstein Hospital with several serious injuries.

In all, 12 passengers on the bus had injuries.

Most of them managed to walk off the bus, although two were carried out on stretchers.

Police are looking for the cause.
