NEW YORK (AP) - April 24, 2009 The two-story home blew up Friday in a thunderous blast that
destroyed the building, injuring at least six people and hurling
debris and flames into the air.
It's unknown what caused the explosion, but a gas leak is
suspected.
The victim's identity hasn't been released. But firefighters had
been trying to account for a woman who lives in the home and was
reported missing.
A resident of a neighboring house that caught fire, a utility
company worker and four firefighters are being treated for
non-life-threatening injuries.
