Howard "in-the-park" homerun

HUNTING PARK - June 17, 2009 The Phillies first baseman launches the Ryan Howard Family Foundation by donating $50,000 to revitalize the baseball and soccer fields, as well as the basketball and tennis courts on the 87 acres.

"I see a lot of potential. It reminds me of some of the parks that I used to play at back home," Howard said.

Ryan wants the kids that play at the park to grow up playing on same caliber of fields he did as a kid.

To help Howard's vision become a reality, he's turning to someone who he didn't always see eye to eye with, his fraternal twin brother Corey.

"To him I'm the same guy we used to get into fights with," Ryan said.

"There are parks right down the street from where we lived, that's where we learned how to work together," Corey said.

Now today's kids hopefully have a park to show off their talent, just like Ryan Howard has been doing his entire life.
