I'm sure that you've noticced these great reusable grocery bags and hopefully you're using them, but if you still end up with a drawer full of plastic bags, store them in the reusable bag.
The next time you go the grocery store bring the bags with you. Most stores have a bin where you can stash those old plastic bags and thye'll take care of them.
Batteries should be recycled too, but how do you recycle them? Keep a bag near your garbage and collect them. Bring the batteries to your local hardware storeand they'll take them off your hands.
How about your cell phones or print cartridges? Did you know that a lot of schools collect those items? The schools turn them into the recycling companies and those companies give the schools money for the items so you're actually helping the earth and the kids in one easy step.
Many office supply stores offer discounts on new print cartridges if you bring in your old ones to recycle. I'm Mrs. Fixit and it's just that simple.
