In fact, her move from Dallas to Philadelphia inspired the songs for her latest album - "11 Chances."
The songs are about the relationships that began, and ended, as a result of that move; the process of writing the songs was itself a journey, one she describes as "fueled by copious amounts of bourbon, and an illness that resulted in a high fever and bizarre dreams."
"I have been a singer since I could open my mouth and utter a tune, a gift bestowed upon me by my mother who has always had a deep love and appreciation of music," Fairchild told Action News.
Of Philadelphia, she says "there's the miracle of waking up to snow, and the reality of having to dig your car out of it."
