NJ medical team flies to help injured in Haiti

CAMDEN, N.J. - January 18, 2010

The doctors left Sunday from Atlantic City International Airport aboard a private jet with 1,200 pounds of medical supplies - the maximum that could be carried.

Dr. Anthony Mazzarelli, who's heading the mission, said there were plans for a medical mission to Haiti before the earthquake struck last Tuesday. Mazzarelli also headed a team that assisted after Hurricane Katrina.

The Norcross Foundation is paying for the team's travel to and from Haiti.
