Authorities say the woman is Stephanie Gelhart, 49, of the 100 block of Fern Road in Upper Southampton Township.
Police say Gelhart was last seen leaving Big Heads Bar on E. County Line Road around 9:30 p.m. on March 8th. Police say she left on foot.
Investigators believe Gelhart was using a shortcut home through the wooded area when she fell down an embankment into near freezing water.
She was likely overcome by hypothermia, the medical examiner concluded, saying the cold water and the fact that she consumed alcohol were likely the reasons she was unable to recover.
Her death has been ruled an accident.
Authorities say Gelhart was not reported missing to either Warminster Police or Upper Southampton Police before her body was found.
