The fatal gunfire erupted along the 5600 block of Windsor Avenue around 7:00 p.m.
Police were called in for reports of shots fired.
Arriving officers found the body of a man who had been shot multiple times; he was pronounced dead at the scene.
The victim is described to be in his late 30's to early 40's.
The suspected shooter fled the scene and remains at large.
