Woods never gets past par at Aronimink

NEWTOWN SQUARE, Pa. (AP) - July 4, 2010

Woods closed out a frustrating week at the AT&T National with a 1-over 71, ending his round about the time the final group was teeing off Sunday at Aronimink.

It was the first time since the Bay Hill Invitational in 1999 that Woods failed to break par in any of the four rounds. He opened Bay Hill that year with a 74, then had four straight rounds of even-par 72. At Aronimink, he started with a 3-over 73, then had 70-70-71.

This was his final event before the British Open at St. Andrews, where Woods has won the last two times. Despite not breaking par, he said he made progress, especially with how he drove the ball.
