Two adults and two children were hurt in a crash on Interstate 95 in South Philadelphia.

It happened around 2:00 p.m. on the highway near Washington Avenue.

When police arrived they found that a car hit a concrete barrier.

Police say the driver switched lanes and ran into a tractor trailer tire.

The children in the car were not in child seats and may have contributed to their injuries.

Officers took two children to Children's Hospital, one with a laceration to the head.

The two adults in the vehicle were taken to the hospital with minor injuries.
