State Police say 12 suspected drunk drivers were stopped on route 13 in Wilmington late Friday and early Saturday. Several others were arrested for other offenses.
The campaign is called "Drunk Driving. Over the Limit, Under Arrest."
Jana Simpler, director of the Delaware Office of Highway Safety, says 96 drivers were arrested during last year's campaign.
The state will have 15 sobriety checkpoints and 273 DUI saturation patrols in the coming weeks.
