The shooting happened in the 2100 block of North 6th Street around 3:45 a.m.
According to investigators, the victim was sitting in a car when he was shot.
The unidentified man managed to get out of the car and stumble to a nearby house, where he was found by police.
They rushed him to the hospital where he was pronounced dead a few minutes later from a gunshot wound to the chest.
There is no word yet on any suspects or a motive.
