Meet the team who suits up the stadium

PHILADELPHIA - January 7, 2011

Sunday is the first playoffs home game since the 2006 season, and thousands of people are getting the Linc ready for the big game.

It takes a special team to suit up the stadium, and we met the men at the helm.

Meet the Special Team the Eagles say will help them score a home playoff game victory on Sunday.

No, not one of Coach Andy Reid's, but an off-the-field trifecta of talent leading the charge at Lincoln Financial Field.

"We have 3,000 people that come in here and get this stadium ready," said Leonard Bonacci.

Playing defense at the front of the house is Leonard Bonacci, Director of Event Operations.

"We go through and check every single room in the stadium," said Jason Miller.

Manning the minutia at the back of the house is Jason Miller, Director of Facilities Operation.

And on the front lines of the field is Tony Leonard, Director of Grounds.

Together, the trio has the Linc covered, and they're shining it up for the national spotlight. A little snow? No biggie.

"We actually went through and pre-treated every single aisle and every single seating area of the whole stadium. 68,500 seats, but who's counting?" said Miller.

They'll roll back the tarp Sunday morning to expose nine freshly painted team logos.

"It just got finished up late last night and we put the tarp on last night, but the paint should look great, the field should look great," said Leonard.

Out front, Head House Plaza will feature a few extra bells and whistles for game goers.

"We will jazz it up with a lot more activities, chain saw artists and extra food out here," said Bonacci.

On the menu?

"I know we will be stacking the cheesesteaks in here!" said Bonacci. "We'll be focusing on the Philadelphia product, not the cheese heads."

The real Philadelphia cheese and not that Green Bay stuff.

The crew will begin at 6 am Sunday for last minute game-day preps. Security will also be stepped up and snow removal will continue to keep the grounds clean and clear for a packed house as the Eagles take on the Packers on Sunday.
