2 shot during gunfire in Camden

Two people were struck by bullets during a shootout in Camden, according to police.

At around 3:30 p.m. Sunday, Camden police and medic units were called out to the 1700 block of South Broadway for the report of two people shooting at each other.

When they arrived, they found over 20 shell casings on the ground and two people hit by flying bullets.

Police believe they are both innocent bystanders.

One was shot in the neck and is in serious condition.

The other victim was shot in the arm and said to be OK.

Both were taken to Cooper University Hospital.

Camden police are investigating.
