Churches join to help newly diagnosed cancer patients

The National Black Church Initiative, which is comprised of 34,000 churches, announced today it is working with Fox Chase Cancer Center to find the best way to help people newly diagnosed with breast or prostate cancer.

The goal is to eliminate disparities in healthcare.

They are working with church pastors and ministers and have also launched a toll-free information hotline.
