Camden County toddlers are finalist in Regis and Kelly contest

AUDUBON, N.J. - March 11, 2011

And the kids are counting on lots of local support to win the big prize.

The contest, also sponsored by Quaker Oats, is called "Great Days Start Here".

It asks viewers to create videos to show how they begin their day.

So Maureen Mattson of Audubon got her kids to act out how Regis Philbin and Kelly Ripa get going in the morning.

Three-year-old Fran Mattson didn't need much coaching as he pretended to be Regis, and neither did baby sister, Bridget as Kelly.

"Joy, I want my bath," says 3 year old, Francis Mattson, who also works to fix his hair in the mirror, while sister Bridget, kisses a picture of Kelly's hubby Mark Consuelos when she wakes up.

"That Mark Consuelos doll was the hit of the town," said mom Maureen Mattson. "And when my husband got home and tucked Fran in, he said, 'can I sleep with the man who's in Bridget's crib?'"

Bridget even does her morning exercises like Kelly.

"The Pilates was a one-take from her heart, I guess," said Maureen.

And Fran loved strutting his stuff as Regis.

The toddlers are amount six contestants who have won $5,000 in prize money as finalist in the Regis and Kelly contest.

Voting for the winner began Friday and continues online until 5:00pm Sunday evening.

"The big winner gets an additional $15,000 and a national promotional spot," explained Maureen.

The winner will be announced on Monday on Regis and Kelly.
