A number of school buses were damaged by fire at a bus depot in Northeast Philadelphia on April 17, 2011.

The fire marshal is investigating the burning of school buses in Northeast Philadelphia.

Firefighters were called to a school bus depot at Woodhaven and Byberry roads around 2:40 p.m. on Sunday.

Investigators say it appears two buses were set on fire, and three others were damaged by the flames.

The fire marshal is investigating this as a possible arson.

Early estimates put the damage at a minimum of $250,000.
