Residents in the small community woke up Tuesday morning to find the posters plastered all over town.
They depict Adolf Hitler and on the bottom is the phrase, "Yes we can," used during President Barack Obama's 2008 campaign.
The people of Elmer believe it is a symbol of hate.
"It's a hate crime, and I have two children who are Jewish, and we do not need that in this town," said Barbara Hathaway.
Elmer Police turned the posters over to the state police who are investigating.
