Fumes cause evacuations in Northeast Philly

Fire officials and PGW are investigating an incident at the Marshals Distribution Center in Northeast Philadelphia involving fumes.

The incident was reported at around 7:30 a.m. on the 2700 block of Red Lion Road after several people reported smelling fumes.

About 400 people were evacuated from the building.

The incident was placed under control by the fire department at 8:15 a.m.

Though it is not clear was the fumes are, officials believe it is not gas related.
