NJ public workers set up tents at Statehouse rally

TRENTON, N.J. - June 20, 2011

The tents were set up by public workers as part of their continued protest of a prosed bill requiring sharply higher pension and health care contributions.

Public-sector unions oppose the bill because it limits collective bargaining over health care.

Near the tents, even more state police patrol cars were parked and an armored police truck stood ready should a planned Statehouse rally get out of control.

Protestors in Revolutionary War costumes are also planning to cross a bridge over the Delaware River on Monday morning in what union officials are calling "the second Battle of Trenton."
