Arrest made in Christmas killing in Cheltenham

CHELTENHAM, Pa. - January 3, 2012

Montgomery County police and prosecutors said 24-year-old Rayshon Carwheel of Philadelphia was taken into custody. An arrest warrant had been issued for him last week.

He is accused of having killed 25-year-old Robens Borno of Philadelphia, who was sitting at the dining room table of a Cheltenham Township home with his girlfriend and her mother wrapping Christmas gifts.

Police said the younger woman was Carwheel's former girlfriend and the mother of his child. He is charged with first- and third-degree murder, weapons offenses and recklessly endangering another person. Another suspect was also arrested Tuesday on conspiracy and firearms counts.
