California Highway Patrol officials said the driver, Steven Lubin of Sun Valley, was driving 80 mph just before the crash.
Lubin swerved to avoid hitting a bus and slammed into the crowd at the platform on the northbound 110 Freeway near the 105 Freeway.
The six victims remain hospitalized.
