Mega Millions Jackpot swells to $363 Million

MIDDLETOWN, Pa. - March 27, 2012

The jackpot has a lump-sum cash value of $259.8 million.

Mega Millions officials say a previous estimate of $356 million had to be revised because of increased ticket sales.

The new jackpot is still the the third-largest in game history.

You can see the Mega Millions drawing tonight during Action News at 11.

Meanwhile, one Mega Millions ticket worth $250,000 from the March 23 drawing was sold in Somerset County, Pa.

The winning ticket correctly matched all five white balls, 06-17-19-20-21, but not the yellow Mega Ball 20, for a prize of $250,000, less 25 percent federal withholding.

The store will receive a $500 bonus for selling the winning ticket.

Lottery officials cannot confirm the identity of the March 23 winner until the prize is claimed and the ticket is validated. Pennsylvania Lottery Mega Millions winners have one year from the drawing date to claim prizes.

The Lottery encourages the holder of the winning ticket to sign the back of the ticket, call the Lottery at 717-702-8146 and file a claim at Lottery headquarters in Middletown, Dauphin County, or at any of Lottery's seven area offices.

Claims may be filed at Lottery headquarters Monday through Friday, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., and from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at area offices.
