Phila. police car involved in 6-vehicle crash

OXFORD CIRCLE - April 4, 2012

The 6-vehicle crash happened at 11:10 a.m. on the northbound Roosevelt Boulevard at Devereaux Ave.

Philadelphia Police Officer Tanya Little told Action News that four people from one car were taken to area hospitals. The police officer in the cruiser was not injured.

Little said the injuries reported were minor, including bumps and bruises.

She said the accident was a chain-reaction crash involving several vehicles, including the police cruiser, that were stopped at a red light and struck from behind.

The outer drive of the Boulevard was shut down as crews treated the injured and cleared the scene of wreckage.
