Police say the crash happened Thursday at 7:10 a.m. on John J. Williams Highway, about two miles east of Millsboro, Del.
Police say preliminary reports are that the driver of the car died and that all the children and driver of the school bus are safe.
As a result of the crash, southbound John J. Williams Highway is closed from Williams Street Road to Warwick Road. Police are asking commuters to avoid the area.
