People in one part of South Jersey are being asked to take precautions after a skunk tested positive for rabies.

The Camden County Health Department say the rabid skunk was removed from the Barclay Farm Section of Cherry Hill on August 8th.

One resident's dog came in contact with the animal and had to be treated.

Officials are urging people in the area to protect themselves and their pets.
