Please put me in jail

TACOMA, Wash. (AP) - January 18, 2013

A Washington state man got his wish earlier this week.

Joseph Rosario was turned away from a Tacoma jail when trying to surrender on misdemeanor warrants.

The county jail usually doesn't have room for such nonviolent offenders.

Charging papers say he asked a bar employee for the cheapest thing he could break.

He was asked to leave.

The News Tribune reports moments later the door glass was smashed.

Authorities charge Rosario also broke a window at a University of Washington library.

He was busted by university security.

He is now charged with felony malicious mischief and is being held on $25,000 bail.
