All-clear given after suspicious packages found in North Philadelphia

A bomb squad responded to the call of a suspicious package outside a bank in North Philadelphia Friday morning.

The call went out at 9:30 a.m. for two unattended suitcases near Girard Avenue and Hancock Street.

Police and bomb experts arrived. They soon determined the suitcases were not a threat.

The all-clear was given at 10:46 a.m.

There is no word if the owner of the suitcases has been located.
