The crash occurred shortly before 7:00 p.m. Monday on Hunting Park Avenue near 7th Street.
Police say an older model Toyota Corolla slammed into the side of an SUV injuring a child and an adult.
The child was taken to St. Christopher's Hospital for Children.
The adult was transported to Temple University Hospital.
Officials say both suffered serious injuries.
