It happened just after 5:00 p.m. Friday near Columbia Road and Cyprus Street.
Authorities say there was a report of a downed plane in a wooded area.
The Atlantic County Fire Marshal has confirmed to Action News that one person was pronounced dead. No word on the victim's identity.
Officials are still investigating what caused the crash.
