Authorities say 68-year-old Len Jenoff is to be freed from Mid-State Correctional Facility in Wrightstown on Friday.
Jenoff has served more than 10 years of a maximum 23-year sentence and will not have to report to a parole officer.
The former private investigator confessed to a newspaper reporter in 2000 that he and another man had been paid by Rabbi Fred Neulander to kill Carol Neulander more than five years earlier.
The confession broke open a case that had detectives could not crack.
Neulander was convicted of murder and is serving a life sentence in prison.
